Apple iPhone 15, Proudly ‘Made in India,’ to Debut on Launch Day

In an exciting development, Apple is set to unleash its highly-anticipated iPhone 15 on September 22, marking a historic moment as it introduces devices manufactured within India to the Indian market right from the start. These devices, crafted at the Tamil Nadu plant, will not only be accessible to consumers in India but will also make their way to “other regions,” joining their counterparts produced in China.

This move signifies a significant shift in Apple’s approach, as previously, Made-in-India iPhones arrived in the market a bit later than their global counterparts. Analysts view this as a vote of confidence in Apple’s trusted partners and their commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and privacy in all aspects of their operations within India. Additionally, it represents a strategic move to diversify manufacturing capabilities, especially considering the ongoing geopolitical tensions between the United States and China.

The iPhones 15 and 15 Plus are being meticulously crafted at the Foxconn factory in India, which is one of three key suppliers for these cutting-edge devices. The other two suppliers include Pegatron, owned by Asus, and Wistron, formerly associated with Acer but soon to come under the umbrella of the Indian Tata Group.

For those eager to own the latest iPhone models in India, prices will start at INR 79,990 for the iPhone 15, and INR 89,990 for the 15 Plus, both featuring a generous 128 GB storage capacity. This marks an exciting moment for Apple enthusiasts in India, as they can now look forward to getting their hands on these state-of-the-art devices right from the moment they hit the global market.
