In a highly anticipated event today, Apple unveiled its latest lineup, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
But the excitement didn’t end there. Apple also revealed the official release date for its next major iOS update. After a summer of beta testing, iOS 17 is set to launch on Monday, September 18th.

On that day, iOS 17 will be available as a free over-the-air update for all supported iPhone models. This includes devices from the 2nd generation SE, iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max onwards. Unfortunately, older models like the iPhone X won’t receive this update.

What sets Apple apart from some of its competitors, like Google, is the immediate availability of its software updates. On the day of release, iOS 17 will be accessible to anyone who wants it. To get your hands on it as soon as possible, simply check for the update through your device’s Settings on Monday after 10 AM California time, and you’ll find it ready and waiting for installation.
